This is a screen annotation app for the story tellers.
It's for those who sell stories for a living via: B2B calls, fundraising calls, online team meetings, product demos, social media content, online courses, QA and customer support.
It creates a transparent canvas over your desktop that you can use to draw shapes, point to things, add text, or highlight important areas. You can also bring your webcam into the presentation.
Is it free?
Yes. This is a free screen annotation app - with a little bit of extra magic in the paid version. Use it to your heart's content on any operating system.
How do I use it?
When you launch the app for the first time, you'll be guided through a very short tutorial.
Within minutes, you'll master the app and be showing everyone how good you are at screen annotations.
Why do I use it?
As a content creator, you know how time-consuming editing can be.
This tool lets you say goodbye to all of that without sacrificing quality. Instead of spending countless hours adding text and other annotations in DaVinci Resolve, just do it live. Use this tool to get 80% of the effect for less than 20% of the effort. My theory is that people appreciate authenticity more than polish anyway. Especially in these AI-flooded days.
Can I see myself?
Yes, you can.
The app allows you to place your webcam feed over your desktop, but under your transparent canvas. This gives you instant feedback on what your users actually see as you're presenting. But more importantly, it lets you draw whiskers on yourself in real time.
Does it also…?
No, it does not.
To keep the learning curve close to zero whilst maximizing utility, the app's features were selected very carefully. Every new tool may marginally increase usefulness, but at an unjustified exponential cost to the user experience.
The app does not record video or screencast - use OBS instead.
How do I log in?
We're using Firebase for authentication so you can log in with either your Google account or any valid e-mail address.
Make sure to add noreply@drawonscreen.com to your contacts list and never follow authentication links that don't point to our domain, auth.drawonscreen.com.
But why do I log in?
Arrr, there be pirates in these waters.
That's the short answer. The long answer has something to do with service abuse, software piracy, license management, and other boring nonsense. Don't worry, though. We don't collect personal information, and our payment processor (Stripe) is reputable.
